Shelter Notes |
We are under contract to the city of Fremont for animal control, but will respond to animal assistance calls outside of the city, if contacted by their law enforcement agencies. |
The shelter will accept animals from the public, but we strongly discourage people to expect the shelter to accept ill, very old, or unadoptable animals due to bad habits, aggressiveness, etc. The shelter encourages responsible pet ownership and will advise owners to take these animals to a veternarian to be treated or if necessary, euthanized. |
Periodically, our kennels are full. In this instance, we will suggest the animal be kept until such time as room is available. |
In the event of an animal being recovered and reunited with its appropriate owner, the owner will be responsible for shelter fees, which were acquired during the housing of the animal. Animal pick up fees can be viewed here. |
If you are interested in taking part in our Doggie Daycare/ Boarding facilities, please contact the shelter at least 1 week in advance to reserve a spot. The fee is $6.00 per day and we require that your animal be spayed or neutered and current on all vaccinations, including a Bordetella(kennel cough) vaccination. |
We offer cremation services. If you are interested in having your pet cremated, call the shelter for more information. Cremation fees are dependent on the weight of your pet. |
